Tim, Ben and Jay

Jay – “We are trying to raise as much money as we can for Movember through our members and clients, anyone really who wants to get on board. Businesses and actually anyone that wants to see us hurt basically. We are going to match a dollar for dollar and every dollar raised we will do a calorie on the assault bike. We are up to $1200 at the moment so that’s 1200 calories. We’ll rotate between the coaches so between the 4 of us we’ll keep going till we get it done. The more money raised the harder we’ll go. I will confirm the date that we’ll do it on our FB page but it will be early December. One of our coaches, Ben, will match every dollar with a burpee and he’s pulled that up at 1,000 I think so he’ll be doing that as well at the same time.
Our Crossfit gym has been running for 12 months, its a strengthening and conditioning programme which makes you stronger, fitter and healthier faster and we run classes which are constantly changing. You can’t just come and train on your own. You are always getting coached and helped, more or less like a big PT session. There is always 2 coaches on the floor so you are never left alone.
The Crossfit owners are Tim Chapman and Dylan Coleman who are both full time policemen and myself (Jay Onslow), Ben’s another coach of ours. We’ll just keep going till we’re done then we’ll have a beer. Would love people to come down, have a look and cheer us on and we have tins here you can put your donations in as well. If you’ve donated come down so you can see us follow through.” You can also donate here – http://mobro.co/crossfit2480
Ben – “I’ve always wanted to do 1,000 burpees in one session strangely enough. What we are doing is for a good cause. I’m really strongly behind mens health and prevention, especially being an active man and being a father now too. We see a lot of fathers out there that are overweight and unhealthy. Movember can only be a positive thing for men to get the opportunity to have their month in a sense.”
