Anita – “In 2013 I decided it would be a great idea to celebrate the Conservatorium’s 25th Birthday and I had this idea of outdoor performance, large scale projections, etc. I had no idea how to do it and during that year Sunita told me about Real Art Works and the project they were putting together called ‘the Building Still Lives’ which would involve an open air performance, large scale projections and just magically our two projects, ‘the Building Still Lives’ and ‘The Silver Jubilee’ were simpatico.
We’ve been working on this together since 2014 planning, doing creative development and lots of dreaming. We started to invite amazing people from the Con and Real Art Works to get involved and both our organisations are focused on quality outcomes. We want to do something that Lismore is going to remember and that’s motivated us to where we are today.
We have musicians, story tellers and songwriters. It’s buzzing and the great thing about it is it’s all original art. Every bit of art that people are going to see is original and from the community and the same goes with every genre of music. We have electronic music being played with an orchestra and it’s for 2 nights only. We are taking history and turning it on its head in a way. People can be a part of that and come along this Friday and Saturday night. We work so well together and whatever project we do next will be hard to be beat this one.” ( the links below to this weekends fabulous events)
