Mel – ” Part of me being in here is a little bit full circle for me as this place was originally an old general store and my grandparents owned a general store, my other nanna was a seamstress. I was always surrounded by beautiful fabrics, also they were hoarders so I think that’s got me into the whole vintage thing. I still remember being in her room as kid with her big red velvet curtains and all her fabrics and absolutely loving it. That definitely fuelled my passion for textiles. I love the 60’s and 70’s, bright colours, great prints, cottons , Bardot time. I look back on old photos of when we were kids and I love those clothes. I would also like to say today is a happy day as my son has finished his HSC so the start of his new life!
