“I’m a farmer out at Bentley. It’s really important to me that we protect the Northern Rivers from this gas invasion. Its so hard to see so many wonderful people stressed and fighting for such a long time.
Somebody said the other day. I think it was Barnaby Joyce, ‘Water is Wealth’ and that really struck me as an important factor. To me water is life but we’ll go with water is wealth for the time being and if this is the case lets not let the gas companies take it away, leaving us bereft. We have a duty to be the guardians of the land so we can pass it on better than we found it. To have it plundered and exploited wantingly for short term profit is no advantage to the community. So please come to the march tomorrow, we are so close. Lets all stand up now! If the whole community stands together we will stop it. I can feel it! I can taste it! I was talking to Premier Baird this morning and we are this close. We cant afford to wait. Lets stand together and say NO we are not going to have it!”
The March starts at 10am tomorrow at Riverside Park
