“So this year again we are going to do the annual ‘Worldwide Companion Run’ which was started by a guy in NZ and the idea behind the run is to get people from all over the world to run 5 kms at the same time. We all click on the website, run at the same time and upload our photos. The only downside is it’s 5pm Greenwich Mean Time which is 4am in Lismore. Last year Lismore had the biggest group in the world. After the run we all uploaded our photos and we get to see everyone all over the world and what they’ve done, from people running in the snow in Canada to South Africa, South America, all over the States, the UK and it’s a really cool feeling like you’ve connected with all these runners, we all do the 5km in a group, you don’t have to be a fast runner, we wait for each other.
