Ian and Sylvia – ” We are members of the CMCA which is Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia which has 98 chapters. We are one of them in the Lismore area called The Summerlanders and today we celebrated our 21st birthday. the CMCA relates around a vehicle that is self contained that you can cook and sleep in. We’ve been trying to organise an area at The Showgrounds where we can have a camping area at a reasonable rate, a dump point and showers but we are having difficulty with the committee to get them to agree. The CMCA are more than happy to install a dump point. It brings people to the town who will spend money. A lot of our outback towns survive because of the travelling public these days.”
