“I’ve lived in Lismore since I was born. I go to Woodlawn High which is a really good school and I turned 14 in October, I’m a hockey player, I’ve been playing since I was 6 and I love fashion, design and makeup. I love reading. I always read and I do singing lessons so music is another love.
I’m a Christian and when I was about 12 I always felt that there was something God really wanted me to do, something kind of placed on my heart. My mum wanted me to wait a bit to make sure it was something I was really sure of. My hair is sort of a big deal.

Last year a girl at my school passed away with cancer at the age of 11 and it made me realise there are so many people dying from it. I could still feel God telling me it’s what he wanted me to do so I decided this year to be a part of The Greatest Shave.
I’ve set up a page and anyone can just click on a link and donate. A lot of people have already donated in cash and my page gives you the information. It’s for blood cancer, Leukaemia and it tells you about where the money goes. It also tells you a bit about me and why I’m doing it. So far I’ve raised $2,100. A lot of that came from social media and the people at my church were so generous. I raised $350 from there which is amazing and yesterday I raised $300 at my Dad’s work at TNR. I understand people are on budgets and it’s an expensive time of year so I was so grateful that everyone is so generous.

I’m actually excited about getting my head shaved on Sunday I think. When I first realised it was something God wanted me too I was kind of like..really? Of all the things I could do that has to be it? (laughs). I’ve been wanting to do it for 2 years and cancer affects so many people so losing my hair is a small sacrifice for what they endure. If I can raise money to help it’s worth it. It’s not a big deal, hair grows back. There’ll be lots of photos but I don’t really want to film it as I’m not sure how I will react. I’m not worried about losing my hair but I may get emotional. I’m so thankful for everyones support and I feel very blessed.”
