Brotherhood of the Blues

“It’s meeting humans like this mob that lift my spirit and fill me with happiness. What an awesome bunch of young men.”
Brotherhood of the Blues is all about heart and soul.
The band is made up of three talented young Aboriginal men. Luke Murray and Zac Paden are Bundjalung men and John Cieslak is a Yawuru man. The men’s friendship with each other and their passion for the Blues provides an amazing insight into the life of a person living with a disability and sharing their story through song writing, music and performance.
The three came together through their participation in music workshops at RED Inc. a grass roots disability service with a passion for the Creative Arts, in Northern New South Wales.
In December 2014, with the assistance of a “My Choice Matters” grant they hired the prestigious Studios 301 in Byron Bay which has hosted sessions for artists such as Angus and Julia Stone and Powderfinger. Under the guidance of Aria nominated producer Anthony Lycenko, they recorded a four-track self-titled EP of their own original songs.
