“ I’ve always enjoyed physical work and as I grew older I grew a few brain cells which helped out in business and I’ve always enjoyed butchering, so I think the key was when I partnered up with Tanya and she completed our business. Before it was just a bit hit and miss, a bit blokey. I think you need a feminine side and especially with a bit of class which she has. When you combine the two, it works. When everyone puts hard work in and you get the results it inspires you to go further and do better things. Tanya and I have been going for four years. We have 22 staff now with the two sites and as I said when it’s enjoyable and your kicking goals it works. You have to be a people person and then people appreciate it. You can have a good product but if you don’t have a personality, a good product and a smile they’ll go to a supermarket, won’t they!”
