“When I was little we moved from Lismore to Ballina where I did my schooling and Port Macquarie for a while then we came home and have been here ever since.
I raced motorbikes when I was a kid spent every weekend racing so I was always travelling away when I was growing up. I didn’t spend a lot of time locally with my friends from school. I met my husband Brent when I was 14 but we didn’t start dating till 11 years ago when I was 20. We didn’t really hang out in the same crew. We both had a little crush on each other from the start but nothing really came of it, I just thought, mmm..he’s a bit cute!
Eight years ago we bought a house in Lismore, we’ve been married for 5 years and now we have 2 daughters 3 and 1.”
What do you love most about him?
“Don’t put that in there, then he’ll know. He might hold it against me… I love his kind nature, he’s just so kind and he’s a really good Dad.”
I’ve worked here at Blooms since 2005, so 11 years now. I started at Blooms in Ballina when I was 14 and did a traineeship at another pharmacy in Ballina then I came here to Lismore. I started as a pharmacy assistant and worked my way through doing stock control then dispensary and when I was about 20 I was promoted to manager so I’ve been the manager here for a while now.
I like Lismore because it’s peaceful. I find everyone minds their own business as such. It’s busy enough but you can still have quiet. I love my customers and the interaction with people from all different walks of life. I think most of Lismore knows my life story already…haha.”
